Dinner tonight

I love to go to the library, simply because you get plethora of books that you'll never buy, so you get them at the library for free!!!
It's like try before you buy thing.Really! So we visiting library regulars. My personal favorite would be craft and cooking books, love them!
So,me and my DD (darling daughter) loves Gnocchi! And when I say love,I mean adore! That melt in your mouth sensation! You know what I'm talking...
OMG, you can just say we are food people.
we being wanted to have a go at making gnocchi forever...So,finally,today we did it!YES!! I found an easy to make recipe in 'Tobie Puttock"Daily Italian"
We differed from the sauce recipe and made a totally different sauce with mushrooms, onion, garlic, thyme and cream- all of them are my favourite ingredients!

And so it goes:
Make the Gnocchi according to the recipe in the book

THE SAUCE:
2 medium onions,thinly sliced
2 cloves of garlic,thinly sliced
6-7 sprigs of Thyme,finely choped
2Tbsp of olive oil
30g butter
1 tub of Philadelphia Cooking Cream
About 500-600grams of your favourite mushrooms thinly sliced.

Heat oil in the pan and fry onion till soft and just about to caramelize, add garlic. Cook for about a minute or till you smell the flavor (it's just the best!)
Add the butter and thyme and after about 2-3mins add the mushrooms.

Saute them for a few minutes with no lid and then put the lid on the pan and sauté everything until the gnocchi is done. (6-7mins)
As the gnocchi floats to the surface of your pot, fish them out with a slotted spoon and put them in the pan containing the sauce. Coat them lightly with the sauce until all of the gnocchies are cooked. Toss everything for a minute or so and serve immediately with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan.

Red wine is a must! I like Lambrussco Red.
And the verdict is...absolutely delicious!!!

Sunday DIY

Today I had the whole day to myself, YIPEEE!
So I decided it would be nice to do some things
that I have been meaning to do for a while.
That was to make a reversible cover for my
brand new "baby" Brother Sewing Machine.

I had two as an inspiration pinned on my pinboard.
(Pinterest, absolutely love it!)

and this is version

I liked them both so much I thought it would be a
good idea to pick up features from each design,
but with my own twist!

So I used denim , one of my favourite fabrics to
work with, and I had a pretty tea towel that I had
lying around that I used as the lining.

So... This is the result!
